New York City's public transit system is essential for connecting people to jobs, services, and economic opportunities. Yet, its outdated infrastructure and limited network fail to meet the needs of its ever-growing population. he lack of reliable, accessible public transit (buses and trains) disproportionately affects middle and low-income residents, restricting mobility and deepening urban inequality.

This project explores how adequate public transit can reduce the widening wealth gap and promote economic and social sustainability in NYC through collective community efforts.

Green Light advocates for a more accessible, efficient, and equitable public transit system in NYC. Through public awareness, community action, and direct advocacy, we strive to make transit a tool for opportunity, not a barrier.
